Girls | “Dancing on my Own” scene
Just re-discovered this scene from Girls tonight (thanks LC) and something about it just gets to me. Sorry to be so meta and completely identify with Girls, but I just can’t help myself.
Maybe it’s the dancing. Maybe it’s the song. (Robyn never fails to remind me of some of my best friends) Or maybe it’s the feeling that this scene evokes; the very essence of our 20’s… that shit can just completely hit the fan, be more confusing than ever, but we’re just going to have to suck it up and figure it out. With our friends. With moments like this where we go off into another world, a little off our rockers, and leave all the BS behind.
And that hug at the very end… it just melts my heart.
